Admission to the B.S. Programme - 2013
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Programme in 2013. Students who will appear for the 12th standard board examination (or equivalent) in 2013 and those who have passed this examination in 2012 are eligible to apply for admission to this Programme. Details of eligibility criteria and the selection process are provided at the "How to apply" page. On-line applications will be received at this web site via the "Online Application" link during February 1 - April 30, 2013.
To apply for admission to the Undergraduate Programme in the 2013-14 session, eligible candidates should complete the following tasks:
Filling the Application Form (available only online): The online application may be prepared and submitted by accessing the IISc website http://www.iisc.ernet.in/ug with effect from 01.02.2013. The online application must be submitted on or before30.04.2013. The application fee is Rs. 400/- for GN/OBC/KM candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PH categories.
Payment of the Application Fee: Mode of payment options available are: (1) Online Payment - Net-banking, Visa Card/ Master Card, Debit/Credit Cards. (2) Offline Payment - SBI/Canara Bank branches accept Challan payment across the country. The bank service charge is extra (to be borne by the applicants).
Selection Process:
Selection for admission will be based on the Following Exams:
1. KVPY: KVPY-SA [appeared in 2011, and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY-SB [appeared in 2012, and selected for the Fellowship]
KVPY-SX [appeared in 2012, and selected for the Fellowship]
2. IIT-JEE-Main: Appearing in 2013 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBCNCL), And 30% (SC/ST/PH).
3. IIT-JEE-Advanced: Appearing in 2013 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBCNCL), 30% (SC/ST/PH).
4. NEET-UG: Appearing in 2013 and getting selected in the main merit list
