Well both the papers had 54 questions and maximum marks of 186. The partial marking made a comeback this year in multiple options correct answer type questions. These two points were student friendly and as a result expressions of students coming out from examination centers were far better than those of last year.
PHYSICS: Overall physics was the toughest of the three subjects. Paper-2 was not less than a nightmare for students. I fear that many students will score net negative in physics paper-2.The news article published few days back citing Mrs. Irani that paper will be more based on NCERT appeared a cruel joke to the students who wrote the paper.Paper -1 was manageable and good students should score good marks in it.
CHEMISTRY: This year this should prove to be the most scoring section. Paper was balanced and average overall.
MATHEMATICS: Paper 1 was more challenging than the first one. Overall it appears to be on lighter side as compared to the last year.
Still need to wait for more reactions to be able to come up with an accurate prediction for this year.

ReplyDeleteLooks like so but decrease wont be like the last year one. I expect it to be in 27-30% range. But please remember decrease will be mainly because of category students falling short in number
