We are in this lock-down mode from last two months and most of you must have altered your preparation strategy as per the changed scenario and dates. This #Covid-19 outbreak has shocked the whole world and it wasn't expected by anyone.
Lets come straight to the point.You all now have around two months to give final touches to your preparation (assuming the exam will happen on the dates announced by HRD minister).
So what should be the ideal preparation plan you must follow.
1. SELF BELIEF AND POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Irrespective of how much you have studied and prepared till now, you have to maintain a positive attitude because worrying too much about what you haven't done won't improve your performance. It is very much likely that your rhythm has broken and due to some casualness or any other reason you didn't utilized these two months of lock-down effectively and your scores are as a result coming below your expectations. So my simple advise is to first get over from this lagging out or left-out feeling and give your best possible efforts for the remaining time without worrying too much about the outcome. Now your time should be spent on actual preparation and not on worrying about how to prepare.
2. FOLLOW A TIME-TABLE AND TRY TO STICK TO IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
You should be ready with a timetable/timeline about the topics you are going to complete or revise. You daily study timings should also follow a pattern instead of random studies. Have a fixed time schedule allocated for reviewing strong topics, separate time for strengthening weaker links and also for mock/practice tests. Ideally you should be devoting 10-12 hours daily towards your preparation. Do take at least half an hour for some exercise/yoga preferably early morning. Also spend about an hour of quality time with your family and even giving them confidence by your positivity as they too are worried about your exam/career.
For adhering to the time table I will suggest pin it on a board near your study area, clearly chalking out daily target in the morning and reviewing them in the night. This review aspect is very important and acts as a positive feedback.
3. MAKE A TOPIC CHECKLIST/MATRIX TO IDENTIFY HOW MUCH YOU HAVE COVERED
A friend of mine suggested making a checklist table for topics a sample of which is shown below

This is a sample for NEET aspirant , for JEE MAIN you can change accordingly. This will help you keep a track of the depth up-to which you have covered a topic and help you in planning immensely.
4. EXAMINATION TEMPERAMENT
This is the thing which separates men from boys and I am saying it with full conviction based on my experience both as an aspirant and also as a coach. I always suggests that focus on a question at a time and if the question seems to be out of your range, leave it quickly and proceed to next one, never try to make predictions inside the examination hall about every question or half an duration. Your full concentration must be on the question you are attempting and nothing else. This is the way to avoid all careless or calculation mistakes. Read every word of the question very carefully. You can take hep of your mentors and you should talk to them to feel better for this particular aspect.
5. MOCK/PRACTICE TESTS
You should give at-least two full test per week out of which at-least one should be full syllabus based test. Your coaching must be taking those tests online plus I personally suggest to use NTA Abhyas APP fpr that full syllabus mock tests as they are actually mirroring the real exam plus the panel of experts who have designed are the same who makes the paper. The UI of the app is also good and the solutions/ explanations are also very nicely given which can help you prepare better. Even I will advise you all to view each and every question released on that app. That is the best question bank to practice in this period. They are uploading one test every day so you don't need any other test/ question bank to test your preparation.
So these are some points that I have shared with you which should help you in preparation.
