    Sir i need a suggestion,
    I wanted to do electronics and also intersted in physics, the chances of getting Physics from iit kanpur is almost sure, I thinking to change my branch at 2nd semester(Doing hard Work) at iit kanpur.
    As amoung all old iits iit kanpur gives more flexbility over branch change as it allows branch change at 3rd & 4th semester too And its class strength can chage by 60%.

    Or I should get admitted in new iits, people are saying that they are not well, neithet in placement nor in infrastructure.

    Sir, 4844 seats are purported to be available for general students in IITs. I have the similar question someone has raised in the column. How come that students of AIR upto 6000 in general category are getting admissions. Also it is stated that IITs have increased the number of seats in some branches. Kindly enlighten us.

      I will suggest to look for some other college. Why to waste an year more when better streams are available at other good IIts. EP doesn't prefereed unless you have intrest in pursuing basic sciences.
