Finally normalization challeneged in High Court

Well what was expected has happened the issue has been now raised in AP High Court.
As per the information shared by Dr Sanghi on his blog:
I have just received the following email from Mr. Neeraj Mehrotra.

We have challenged the normalisation procedure being adopted in JEE (Mains) 2013 in AP High Court, Hyderabad vide Writ Petition No. 18252 of 2013. The writ petition came for admission before Hon’ble Justice Ramesh Ranganathan today on 27 Jun 2013.

The hon’ble Court has admitted the writ petition and has directed the respondents viz. Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi, JEE Apex Board (JAB) Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and the Executive Director,JEE (Main) New Delhi to file the counter affidavits within two weeks. The Hon’ble Court further directed that admissions to be made into NITs / CFTIs is subject to further orders in the writ petition and directed the respondents to intimate all admitted candidates that their admission is subject to further orders and final outcome of the writ petition pending before the High Court of AP. Sri Ponnam Ashok Goud, Asst Solicitor General, Hyderabad was present in the court and has taken the notices on behalf of the respondents.

Well Again I feel its student who will suffer due to such uncertainties and will benefit businesses of Private players.

The system should not be changed for students who appeared in JEE main this year.
I agree that the new pattern has certain loop holes which should have been taken into account , yet introducing any change at this point of time would lead to a severe state of confusion.
The proposal if at all flawed as per view points of certain individuals should have been questioned a long time back, when it was being finalised.
Most aspirants paid a good amount of attention to their Board Exams and prepared seriously for them too .
Any change in the system/ Formula at this point of time would call for much criticism and severe action from the students side.

At this juncture, is it wise to for newer iits or ism or bits or iiit if I stand a good chance of getting cs or ece.
Moreover, because of this move, students and parents could take a conservative approach and settle for something in other institutions. Utterly stupid to approach court after such a long time. Should have done long back. Court should not be admitting such arbitrary cases for the whims of odd students choosing to challenge at this moment. No offence meant to anybody please.

  14. i think that anonymous is a jerk....who said appellant wanted 100% contribution of jee main marks....we only want a fair normalisation that should not benefit board toppers too much....what say sir?

WOW!! What a faulty result by jee mains.one person with 216 marks in mains ,cbse board% :97.4,got 1500 overall rank in mains and not even eligible for jee advance counselling ,getting rank >10000 in GENERAL.WHILE another person got 13042 overall rank ,with 238 marks in jee mains ,cbse board %86.66,and getting AIR:1056 in general CATEGORY.SOME PERSONS JUST MUG UP/CRAM NCERT BOOKS AND THINK THEY CAN GET INTO THE IIT'S BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE .

  22. what r the chances that normalisation will be cancelled this year? the amount of students who paid more attention on boards is also not small. will it not be injustice for them . cbse had announced this before one year , so what is the problum.every one knew that normalised percentile will be based on there ranking in board exam not on there percentage.

normalization is bullshit. a person having 85 percent in hp board and having 245 marks in jeemain gets 11987 rank air but person having 87 percent in cbse and 251 marks in jeemain gets air 14484. wt is the fault of second one that he has opted cbse board rather than hpboard?

    2. Its not right justification dear. Everyone knows marking in ICSE and CBSE are quite liberal. You can't say 90 percent of say Rajasthan board is same as 90 percent of CBSE. The opposition should be of the mapping of board percentile on the jee main percentile. That is not right .
